Calimero back on her Mooring

What a fag, got the boat antifouled, a lick of paint and she is now back on the Mar. So yesterday after coffee morning we decided to take her out for a thrash and use up the stale petrol. Surprise, surprise she started up for the first time since last March without too much persuasion and we set off for a good pootle round the islands and back via the Arena Cafe for a pleasant lunch, then back to hook up with our mooring whilst braving the derogatory hoots and general insults from a couple of fellow Lmme´s. We had a lovely afternoon a bit misty but warm and most enjoyable. We seem to have put our boat in as others have taken theirs out for various reasons but there still seem to be quite a few left so perhaps we can arrange a picnic some time anybody interested ????? Jim Lad !!

Re. the aforementioned Picnic. It appears that Henry and I will be munching our sandy sandwichs and drinking our cold tea on our own as most of the owners are removing their boats for the Winter period. A lot of antifouling and neccessary bottom scraping going on. Oh well it seemed a good idea !!
